The choir in Wellington Primary School was established in the year 2011. It features over 80 members who have performed at a variety of concerts and events throughout the six years. The team had achieved Silver in 2012, Certificate of Distinction in 2014 and Certificate of Accomplishment in 2016 in the SYF Central Judging for Choir.

In August 2015, it was privileged to be part of the 1000-strong choir team in the nation-wide celebration of Singapore Jubilee in Sing50.

The choir participates in a yearly choral festival, known as Concordis. 2015 marks the 5th year in their participation in Concordis - Concordis V. Concordis replicates the festival-like atmosphere of international music festivals and trains young choristers in a fun and non-competitive learning environment. Each chorister will attend choir workshops conducted by well-known choral clinicians brought in from around the world.

In 2015, four renowned choral clinicians were invited for the much celebrated event. Our students were trained and had performed under the stewardship of Ms Sonya Keogh, a cultural ambassador, from Ireland, Dr Beverly Shangkuan-Cheng, an award winning choral conductor and Assistant Professor of Music, from the University of Philippines, Mr Mak Chi Hoe, an award winning conductor and opera singer, from Malaysia as well as Ms Josephine Lee, the President and Artistic Director of the famous Chicago Children’s Choir, from USA.
